I made 650$ with a SAAS for the first time of my life

Hey builders 👋

Three weeks ago, I launched BuzzClip, an AI-powered video ads creation platform.

This is the fist time of my life I make some decent amount of money with a SAAS and the feeling is great.

In fact, the SaaS generated exactly €650 within 1 month. Doesn't sound like a lot... But it’s the most meaningful money I've ever made.

I saw the potential of this product and that it was warmly welcomed during the launch on Product Hunt and I decided to focus my effort on it.

So what I did exactly since the release? I essentially launched a bunch of new features that make the product to become more of a AI Influencer creator than a simple UGC ad generator.

AI Avatar Creator

I launched the BuzzClip AI Avatar Creator to help effortlessly generate photorealistic digital personas. Now you can create custom avatars using guided or free-form prompts, animate them with natural facial expressions, and integrate them seamlessly into your UGC videos—without needing any design or filming skills.

Avatar Upscaling

Building on avatar creation, I've added Avatar Upscaling, a premium feature transforming your standard AI avatars into stunning high-definition versions. This feature takes avatars from a basic 512×512 resolution up to ultra-detailed resolution with enhanced skin textures, realistic facial features, and optimized lighting effects. This is a real game changer for avatar Human look-like effect..

Upscaling difference…

Lip Sync

I introduced a AI Lip Sync tool, allowing creators to produce realistic talking head videos in as little as 1-5 minutes. It's perfect for rapid content iteration, multilingual videos, and highly engaging UGC.

Multi-Language Support

BuzzClip now supports content creation in 29 languages, making it easier than ever to reach global audiences. Whether you’re generating viral hooks or voiceovers, this feature significantly simplifies international content strategies.

These updates are all about empowering creators to produce professional, engaging content with minimal friction.

I think I did enough work in term of features for this product 😅

Now I’ll just focus on marketing and growth and if there’s results I’ll continue improving the product (it’s probably the hardest thing for a dev to stop building feature to focus on marketing but it’s necessary…).

In term of marketing, I tried a bunch of things. Classically, communicating on social networks, the launch on Product Hunt was great too and brought a lot of users. But it’s not sufficient, because when launch momentum passes, you need to keep doing marketing to get consistent traffic. There’s no magic, people will not come to your platform if you do nothing.

Affiliate Program

I launched an Affiliate Program offering a generous 30% recurring commission for referrals. It’s a great way to earn passive income while helping other creators discover BuzzClip. For now it didn’t produce much result, but let’s see how it goes

Next Steps

The number of daily visitor is still quite low (<300), so the goal is to invest in marketing (2-3k$), find AI niche influenceurs that can promote the products through Youtube, Insta, Tiktok, and to see if it produces concrete results. If yes, you can replicate this schema again and again.

At the same time, I'm starting to think about my next product. ;)

It's true that it's challenging to juggle between different products and to decide on which one you should concentrate your time and efforts. But I believe it’s a powerful exercice that forces you to become good at taking the right decision in a short period of time.

That’s it for now.

Take care and stay awesome!

Cheers,
Eric
